Snowmobile

This snow mobile cake was given as a surprise to the wedding couple from the grooms mom.

Jones Brothers Jewelers

Many of the purse cakes I am asked to create are based off of an existing purse which is the case for this unique, art deco purse. Jones Brothers Jewelers recently unveiled a new line of purses by Debbie Brooks. To kick off the event they had one of Debbies designs created in cake!

Crystal Wedding Cake

All that sparkles! These buttercream wedding cakes sparkled with crystals and silver ribbon wrapped around each tier. The center cake was then uplit by a champaign fountain. These gorgeous photos were taken by Pam Cooley.

Cat Skid Steer

This Caterpillar Skid Steer was in celebration of Caterpillars newest President come this January, Doug Oberhelman.

Apple Green Wedding Cupcakes

Unfortunately, this picture does not do this cupcake tree justice. Each tier of this wedding cupcake tree was separated by glass candle sticks that were uplit with green LED pin lights. The crystals hanging over the purple hyrangea topper sparkled from the light.

Gretchen Wirtz Wedding

These sweet goodies are from Gretchen Wirtz' wedding. Still wanting to keep with tradition, yet incorporating something fun with cheesecake, Gretchen had a fondant red and white wedding cake modeled from the design of her wedding dress. I made her monogram topper out of gum paste and studded with it crystals. She then treated her guests to a cheese cake bar where they could dress their dessert with chocolate sauce, caramel, toffee or chocolate chips and pecans.

Heart Wedding Cake

The bride of this wedding cake had purchased the beautiful sterling silver heart momento box used as a cake topper which served as inspiration for the cake. The four tiers are frosted in buttercream and accented with buttercream drop flowers with silver eyes and outlined in ivory pearls.

Table Cakes

Rather than floral centerpieces, this bride opted for table cakes. 25 table cakes, alternating in chocolate or white buttercream were placed as the centerpieces for each table.

Puddles

In September, Illinois American Water requested a centerpiece cake for their community open house. I created Puddles, their mascot, which was completely edible. The umbrella Puddles is holding was made out of gum paste. It was based off of the umbrella the company gave away that day to all visitors.

Vintage Suitcase

This vintage inspired suitcase was designed for a bridal shower. Around the cake is various edible bumper stickers of different locations the couple had visited.

Rose Wrapped Wedding Cake

Two dozen reddish orange roses wrap around this 3 tiered buttercream cake.

Blue Hydrangea Wedding Cake

This blue and brown fondant covered wedding cake has a light hearted geometric design.

Flower power cupcakes

These cupcakes were based on a design from the bridal shower invitation.

Space Shuttle Atlantis

This past August, I was given the unique opportunity to make Scott Altman's birthday cake. And what kind of cake do you make for an astronaut? His Space Shuttle of course! Commissioned by Lakeview Museum - I was extremely honored that they contacted me to make this and let me be a part of such a fun event! Although its difficult to tell from this picture, the cake was designed to look like it was landing so the front nose of the shuttle is sitting at a 45 degree angle off of the board.

Confectionary Cocktails

Now you can have your drink and eat it too! A signature line for me, these confectionary cocktails are frosted in buttercream flavored with a variety of liquers from Baileys Irish Cream, Butterscotch, Godiva White Chocolate, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, and Peppermint Schnapps.

Pink Pretty Princess

This cake was affectionately named "Pink, Pretty Princess" due to its soft, pink feminine design. Frosted in buttercream, it is adorned with fondant swags, fondant bows, crystals and fresh pink roses. The top tier is elevated by a crystal candle stick and has pink and clear crystals beads spraying down from the center of the cake.

Tiffany Topsy Turvy

A fun, light and whimsical topsy turvy wedding cake.

Purple Show Girl

This unique wedding cake was inspired from the 1920's and 30's. The bride requested a show girl/glamour style.

Red Chanel Purse

A shower cake for a bride to be that is all designer! This Chanel cake is wrapped in fondant with a quilted diamond pattern.

Meat and Potatoes

This has to be one of the most unique grooms cakes I have ever created! The cake was inspired by the groom's love of "meat and potatoes" meals and the bride actually using broccoli as her centerpieces! The fondant plate is modeled off of the couples china pattern. Everything is edible!

Tiffany Ring Box

For the girl that has everything bling! This Tiffany inspired cake was designed for a bridal shower. Everything on the cake was edible except for the bottom tier which was fake.

Floral Art Deco

This wedding cake was designed to reflect the brides fun, contemporary floral theme.

The bride then surprised her groom with a replica of his guitar!

Lime Green and Purple Wedding Cake

Standing just over 4' tall, this 6 tier custom designed fondant wedding cake was truly the centerpiece of the reception! Each tier was separated by a a crystal studded square. Additionally, at each intersecting quilted line is a small orange sugar dot. Spec'd to serve 300, each tier flavor was just as unique as the design from tuxedo, to white with raspberry to turtle - Yum!
